Painted Hills----Episode 2
This series is the result of my 2nd trip to the Painted Hills of Oregon. I photographed these in the mid to late afternoon, whereas my first visit was at sunrise. The colors, the shadows, the whole mood of the place was entirely different. I expected that the full blast of the sun would wash out the colors and detail in the hills........but I was wrong. I experienced the opposite effect. I tried to process these in a subdued manner in order to create a water-color look. i hope that it worked. If you ever have the opportunity to travel to this "out of this world location, you won't be sorry. Thank you for looking at my work.
